The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the Bill on Amendments to Clause 242 of the Civil Code of Ukraine (re Representation by Law) as a Basis

Pursuant to the Bill (Reg. No.3317), parents (adopters) are legal representatives of their young and under age children and act on their behalf as trustees and custodians. The bill specifies requirements to be observed by parents while concluding agreements on alienation of real estate or other agreements envisaged by Article 71 of the Civil Code of Ukraine.
